Bennett Packaging of Kansas City, Inc., is proudly celebrating 30 years in the corrugate industry this year. Celebrations started with an employee recognition event hosted by owners, Kathy and Doug Bennett, last week at Main Event in Independence, MO.
“We are very proud of how far we have come over the past 30 years. We started out as a plain brown box plant, to now producing high-graphic printed retail displays and distributing to major retailers for major brands throughout the U.S. We could not have done it without the amazing teams here at Bennett, therefore we wanted to thank them for their hard work”, Kathy Bennett said when asked about their event. What better way to thank them than to give them a full day off of work to mingle and play team-building games? “It’s not easy to shut down a manufacturing facility, but we knew that was the only way to get all three shifts together at one time. It was important to us for us all to celebrate together.”
During the event several tenured team members shared stories and the changes they have seen in not only Bennett, but the industry as a whole over the years. The mantra seemed to resonate, “we’re going to keep on moving”, and the parting gift of an logo embroidered backpack was fitting respectively.
Bennett, founded in 1987, is a woman-owned, packaging and display company providing customized corrugate solutions that protect and promote their client’s products.
